OLYMPIA & OLIVE OIL TASTING

Our adventure begins in the ancient city of Olympia – birthplace of the Olympic Games in 776 BC and one of the most important sites in antiquity. Wonder at the Temple of Hera, where the Olympic Flame burns and explore the Temple of Zeus, where the golden and ivory statue of Zeus (one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World) was housed. We visit the site of the original Olympics Stadium and Bouleuterion, where locals assembled to discuss the topics of the day. We drive on through the mountains to discover a truly Greek pleasure. We’ll learn about the ancient practices of olives and olive oil production before setting our senses alight by sampling some of the local produce ourselves.
