Join us on a tour of Monopoli: a city founded on the remains of an ancient Messapian settlement, now known for its beautiful whitewashed houses, colourful fishing boats, welcoming atmosphere and delicious food.
Rising above the sparkling Adriatic, it’s always been a place with strong links to the sea.

Starting with a guided tour of the historic centre, you’ll hear stories of the ancient walls, built to defend against sea-faring enemies.

You’ll also get the chance to admire the castle, set like a jewel on a small peninsula. Originally part of the city’s protection against pirates, it was used as a prison until as recently as the 1990s.

Not far from the buzz of the city, you’ll find a much more rural way of life.

Our next stop is a typical farm where we’ll immerse ourselves in Apulian traditions. We’ll discover more about the production of the world famous mozzarella and classic Italian focaccia – and finish the tour with time to sample the products, too. Delizioso!
